Tourism Newcastle is proud to be the host of this prestigous summit to be held
in South Africa in 2004.

The preliminary program listed below will ensure that every delegate from around the world will have a true South African experience.

Preliminary Program.

Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th February 2004 - Arrival of delegates.

Sunday 15th February 2004 - Opening lunch with a business card exchange, gift exchange and Rotary flag exhange.

Monday 16th February 2004 - A symposium on Culture will be hosted and we will be looking at entertaining our delegates with Township tours after the symposium has ended as well as an evening function with an African theme (shabeen).

Tuesday 17th February 2004 - Educational symposium, after which perhaps a tour through Iscor Steel Works with lunch at Iscor. The evening will be a business evening were local, international business and Council can mix.

Wednesday 18th February 2004 - Opening of the Friendship Garden. The delegates will then be split into 2 groups. One group will go to Ithala Game Reserve and the second group will go to the Drakensberg mountains.

Thursday 19th February 2004 - The groups that went to Ithala Game Reserve will now go to the Drakensberg mountains and the groups from the Drakensberg mountains will go to Ithala Game Reserve.

Friday 20th February 2004 - The groups will return from their tours and a Mayor's dinner will be hosted in the evening.

Saturday 21st February 2004 - Travel to Moreson Game Ranch for lunch and for the delegates to see Lions. A traditional Braai is planned for dinner with entertainment.

Sunday 22nd February 2004 - Official closing.

Time will be made in between this program for delegates to visit local stores and factory shops

WowAfrica has put together some amazing tours that you can attend after the summit.

THE GREAT TREK TOUR
After the summit we will travel to Johannesburg International to fly to Cape Town.
The first part of the tour we will be traveling the Western and Eastern Cape visiting
renowned places such as Table Mountain, Robben Island (Nelson Mandela was
jailed there for 26 years), the Wine lands and the beautiful Garden Route. The
second part of the tour we will depart from Port Elizabeth to the Northern Province
of South Africa, arriving at Polokwane International Airport. From there we travel to
the Kruger National Park encountering on our way the bushveld with its lush game
and African atmosphere! This is Big 5 Country...It is going to be 16 days of WOW!!

JOCK OF THE BUSHVELD TOUR
We will travel from Newcastle through Swaziland to the Kruger National Park. Our
focus will not only be to encounter the Big 5 but also to experience the spectacular
Natural scenery of the bushveld. Our stay will be luxurious, tables divine and Zulu
dancers around a typical bushveld fire...8 days of WOW!!
